The PAC is more sorted out that the Rockford DSR1 and the software in my opinion is so much better. I have the PAC Interface in my vehicle and that part# is an AP4-FD21 and yes, this interface requires tapping into factory wires or even cutting them depending on the setup. I have a 2016 Lariat with the same setup as your truck except I have the Sony system and yours is B&O but just like your system, my head unit cannot be removed. The DSR1 is not perfect because they are still working out some of the software bugs so keep that in mind. I`m not sure if they have made it compatible with the B&O system so you`ll have to check with the manufacture.
